Toys for Tots 2021 Kickoff
Nassau DE LCO, Sussex County’s Local Campaign Organization of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, is pleased to invite all area residents and their guests to the inaugural event of the 2021 Christmas season.
On Saturday November 13, 2021 from 11 am to 3 pm at the American Legion Post 28 Pavilion, located at 31768 Legion Rd in Millsboro, the 2021 Sussex County Toys for Tots Kickoff Event will take place. The Kickoff, co-hosted by the Marine Corps League Diamond State Detachment 704, will have free admission.
In addition to a variety of area entertainers and a Bake Sale by the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians attendees will be able to meet local first responders and see their vehicles up close. The East Coast Riders car show will be on hand along with the Marine Corps Reserve Engineer Support Battalion and the Sussex County Amateur Radio Association. The Guest of Honor for the day will be Carson Figueroa, a special nine-year-old who made a very noteworthy donation to Toys for Tots. Food and beverages will be available from the American Legion.
Everyone is asked to drop a new, unwrapped toy in one of the collection boxes that will be placed throughout the pavilion. Nassau DE will be distributing the collected toys to Sussex County children whose families request help giving Christmas presents. Cash donations will also be accepted and appreciated.
