Dredging Contract Approved for Rock Hall Harbor

Rock Hall, MD – The Town of Rock Hall has received notification from the Kent County Commissioners that a contract has been awarded to dredge approximately 4,000 cubic yards of material from the Rock Hall Harbor entrance channel.

The contract was awarded to Dissen and John LLC of Stevensville and is expected to get underway this Spring. The project is funded by a $190,000 grant from the State Department of Natural Resources.

Mayor Brian Jones commented on the project “The citizens of Rock Hall are grateful to both the County Commissioners and the Department of Natural Resources for their support of and assistance with this important project that will ensure unimpeded access to our Harbor and historic waterfront for all maritime vessels.”
