Crow Wine Cellars to Host Big Brothers Big Sister Networking Event

Queenstown, MD – Grab your family, friends and co-workers. It’s a night of great wine, food, and networking… for a cause, of course! Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore (BBBSES) is partnering with Crow Wine Cellars in Queenstown for Network for a Cause, an event to raise awareness and support for mentoring across the Mid and Upper Shore.

BBBSES is the largest mentoring organization on the Shore, covering all 9 counties and serving hundreds of kids every year. In addition to creating and supporting mentoring matches, BBBSES also supports families through case management, referral services, youth activities and enrichment events, and free resources such as school supplies, holiday meals and gifts. Children and families are able to become a part of the program and participate in the above for free. BBBSES depends on the generosity of the local community, businesses, and organizations like the United Way to continue to provide services.

The need for mentors and advocates across the mid and upper shore counties is great and Network for a Cause was designed as a means to help fill this gap and raise some funds in the process. To help BBBSES achieve its mission, Crow Wine Cellars agreed to host the event. Not only will $5 of every ticket sale go to the organization, but 10% of all bottle sales will support BBBSES as well.

The first Network for a Cause will be held on January 31st from 5 to 7 PM at the Crow Wine Cellars at the Queenstown Outlets. The cost for participation is $15. Register at www.shorebiglittle.org/events.

Editors Note:
The naming of this event could spur some confusion since they are using “Network for a Cause”. This event should not be confused with Haven Ministries “Networking for a Cause” that is held each month on the 2nd Thursday at Hemingways.
