During the past dozen or so years I have been been attempting to deliver Art and Entertainment information that is happening on the Delmarva Peninsula. About a year ago I rebranded ChesaDel Crier as the source for Art, Entertainment and Recreation News between the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays.
I had also published the Web site Local in Kent, MD as my way of connecting the residents and visitors of Kent County, MD with the local community. Local in Kent, MD flourished as a Facebook Page and a decision in January of 2018 was made to consolidate its Web site with ChesaDel Crier. I had also been trying to create a similar FB page and Web site for Caroline County, MD.
During 2018, I found that I often was publishing information on the ChesaDel Crier that really didn’t fit the core mission of Art and Entertainment News. Many of these were information about non-profits and business news. And not only in Kent and Caroline County, but Queen Anne’s as well.
Around the first of September, I started experimenting with a new site, Upper Shore Crier. Placing much of that ‘other’ news on it to see if the idea was viable.
Most of those posts have been about non-profits, those not Art and Entertainment based, and miscellaneous business news, such as awards and promotions, etc.
With an average of a couple of postings a day, to me it seems to be viable. So here it is.
