Ocean City Celebrates October with Music, Motors, and More

Ocean City’s 150th Anniversary celebration rolls into fall with a full October lineup of concerts, classic cars, art, and family fun. From Country Calling and Endless Summer Cruisin’ to the 50th Annual Sunfest, there are endless ways to celebrate the season in Ocean City, MD.
Country Calling returns October 3–5 with three days of live music on the beach, headlined by Luke Combs, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood. Festivalgoers will also enjoy performances by country’s rising stars, while Restaurant Calling continues with dining specials at participating restaurants throughout town. The 28th Annual Endless Summer Cruisin’ revs into town October 9–12 with four action-packed days of classic cars, hot rods, live entertainment, and boardwalk parades. Events span the OC Convention Center, Inlet Parking Lot, and local businesses, culminating with the Grande Finale Car Show and Awards, where more than 500 trophies are awarded.
Ocean City’s signature fall festival, Sunfest, returns October 23–26, bigger than ever for the town’s 150th Anniversary. Special highlights include an interactive mural, festive photo ops, and an expanded fireworks show. At the same time, favorites return, such as the Halloween Beach Maze, Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade, Great Pumpkin Race, bonfires on the beach, and the high-flying Delmarva Dock Dogs. Families can also celebrate the season with spooktacular events hosted by OC Recreation and Parks. Highlights include the Family Beach Bonfire on October 17, the Halloween Bowl Bash at Ocean Bowl Skate Park on October 25, and the beloved Halloween Spookout Party at Northside Park on October 26 with inflatables, games, and a costume parade. Seniors can join in the fun with free Halloween Bingo on October 30. On October 26, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, led by Randy Bachman, rocks the OC Performing Arts Center with classics like “Takin’ Care of Business” and “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet.” After the show, enjoy Ocean City’s Dine Around Town offerings at Bayview Bar & Grille, Hooters of Ocean City 5th Street, or Papi’s Tacos.
