0

OCEAN CITY, MD

The O.C. Air Show is returning to the Town of Ocean City on Saturday, June 14th and Sunday, June 15, 2025. Residents and visitors should anticipate heavy traffic delays, limited parking, and street closures in the downtown area throughout the weekend. Here is what to expect:

Street Closures

Set-up for displays, ground exhibits, and reserved areas will begin Friday, June 13, 2025, from 12th Street to 20th Street. Portions of these streets will be closed and barricaded through Sunday, June 15th, with 15th Street and 17th Street remaining closed until approximately noon on Monday, June 16th. The City Hall parking lot at 301 Baltimore Avenue will be closed to the public starting Friday, June 13 at 5 p.m. Only authorized personnel and vehicles will be allowed entry.

Parking Information

Parking will be limited, particularly on Saturday, and many private lots may adjust pricing based on demand. The Town of Ocean City offers paid municipal parking at the following locations:

  • Worcester St., between Baltimore Ave. & Philadelphia Ave.
  • Somerset St. & Baltimore Ave.
  • Dorchester St. & Baltimore Ave.
  • N. Division St. & Baltimore Ave.
  • N. Division St. & St. Louis Ave. (small lot)
  • 4th St. & Baltimore Ave.
  • 61st St. & Coastal Hwy. (bayside)

Due to nearby closures, on-street parking will be extremely limited near the event site. In addition, the Town of Ocean City has enacted Resolution 2025-10, which designates specific dates for enhanced paid parking rates and penalties during special events. These measures will be in effect from June 14-15, 2025, to help manage the increased number of visitors and support public safety. The enhanced parking penalties focus on prohibited parking areas (like no parking signs, red curbs, fire hydrants, and sidewalks) to improve traffic flow, parking compliance, and enforcement during high-attendance periods.

Expect Delays. Plan Ahead

We strongly recommend arriving before 9:00 a.m. to avoid the heaviest traffic. Make a day of it by enjoying the Boardwalk and Air Show exhibits, which will be located along the Boardwalk between 12th and 20th Street.

Safety Reminders

To help everyone stay safe and enjoy the weekend, we encourage all attendees to follow simple but essential safety tips. If you’re walking, remember to Walk Smart: cross only at marked crosswalks, stay alert, obey all traffic signals, and use sidewalks instead of crossing mid-block. Always make eye contact with drivers before stepping into the street.

Drivers, please Drive Smart. Stop for all pedestrians in crosswalks—it’s Maryland law. Slow down, especially when turning, and stay focused by avoiding texting or using handheld devices while driving. Be extra mindful of people riding bicycles or scooters, and do not drive in designated bike or bus lanes.

If you’re riding a bicycle or scooter, be sure to wear a helmet, follow the flow of traffic, and obey all traffic signs and signals. Use bike lanes where available, and always stay visible to drivers, especially at intersections.

Whether you’re on foot, behind the wheel, or on two wheels, remember that safety is everyone’s responsibility. Staying alert and following the rules of the road will not only make this Air Show weekend safe but also ensure that everyone can enjoy the event without any worries.

Let’s work together to ensure the 2025 O.C. Air Show is safe and enjoyable for all. Arrive early, plan to stay late, and enjoy everything Ocean City has to offer.
