2021 Washington College Graduate Dylan Nepert Joins Baseball Coaching Staff
Chestertown, Md. – 2021 Washington College graduate Dylan Nepert (Federalsburg, Md./Colonel Richardson) has been named as an assistant baseball coach.
“We are very excited to be adding Dylan to our coaching staff,” Head Coach Cory Beddick states. “Over the past three years, Dylan has exemplified what it means to be a Shoreman. He is hardworking, selfless, and loves the game of baseball. He knows the game inside and out and is going to be an excellent coach. Our entire program will benefit from his knowledge of and passion for the game of baseball.”
Nepert transferred to Washington College prior to the 2018-19 season and played in 58 career games. He compiled 24 extra-base hits as a Shoreman, including eight round trippers. This past season, the infielder/catcher went 3-for-4 with a triple and a homer and scored a career-best four runs in the 12-10 victory versus Mary Washington. He was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week on March 23rd, 2021 after hitting .571 with a .625 on-base percentage in a doubleheader sweep of Gettysburg.
A team-captain, he was named an All-American for the 2019-2020 year by the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
Dylan will primarily work with hitters and assist with outfielders, catchers, and first-basemen. He will also serve as the first base coach and be heavily involved in recruiting.
