Kate Van Name Named to Kent County Chamber Board of Directors
Chestertown, MD – KVN Partners announced today that Kate Van Name, President of KVN Partners, is honored to be appointed to the Kent County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. After graduating from Washington College, Kate returned to Kent County in 2015 with the belief that the county can and should actively shape its own economic future and create opportunity to thrive while not losing itself in rushed change. As a vibrant, family-oriented, historic, culture-rich, and community-connected county with a strong and diverse employment base, Kate believes that encouraging businesses to start, stay, and grow locally ought to be accomplished without losing sight of a higher purpose: enhance, honor, and value Kent County and the people who live there.
The Kent County Chamber of Commerce works tirelessly to build and maintain relationships in order to champion and advocate for business in Kent County. The Chamber provides members with exceptional access to mentors, decision-makers, thought-leaders, and elected officials to amplify their needs and directly impact their own success. During the nomination process, Kate stated she believed that a healthy and strong Chamber is vital for the local businesses and the whole Kent County community.
“The Chamber’s success is all about ‘strength in numbers,’ and as the business community supports the Chamber, the Chamber’s ability to support our businesses grows,” said Kate. “Being a member in good standing and sponsoring the on-going and invaluable services, networking, education, and leadership to and for local business members and community is good for business and good for the county.”
Kate is the President and Founder of KVN Partners, a business management consulting firm located in Chestertown, MD. Prior to founding KVN Partners, Kate was the COO at Warrior Centric Health, COO at Advisors Financial, President of The Communicators, and CFO at Caloris Engineering.
