Wicomico Health Department Hols Covid-19 Community Meeting and Opens Call center
Salisbury, MD – In partnership with Wicomico County Department of Emergency Services, the Wicomico County Health Department held a community partners meeting about the coronavirus (COVID-19) at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. The meeting covered general information on COVID-19, the health department’s initiatives to promote public awareness, and community partners’ contingency plans. Community partners included:

· Wicomico Nursing Home
· Wicomico Public Library
· Wor-Wic Community College
The Wicomico County Health Department continues to work closely with the community to prepare for possible COVID-19 cases on the Eastern Shore. Starting March 12, 2020, the health department will open a call center for general information on COVID-19 as well as information for local physicians. Physicians and residents can contact the call center at (410) 341-4600 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.
