Soroptimist® Club Seeking New Members

Chestertown, Maryland — The women and girls of Kent & Queen Anne’s Counties need you! Become a Soroptimist today and change the world. When you join Soroptimist International of Kent & Queen Anne’s Counties, you get to help the women and girls in your community and beyond realize their dreams. To learn more about Soroptimist and the work it does on behalf of the world’s women and girls, the club will host two information sessions at the Queen Anne’s County Library:

“When you join Soroptimist, not only does your work strengthen the community and make a positive impact on the lives of women and girls around the world,” said Wendy Bramble, President. “You also make life-long friends, lead a happy healthier life and have a lot of fun! We always welcome new members and invite any women in the community to join us at a club meeting or for a hands-on project.”

Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. The Kent & Queen Anne’s Counties Soroptimists join 1,300 Soroptimist clubs in 21 countries and territories around the world.

The club’s ongoing projects include administering the Soroptimist Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women®, which grants financial resources to women who serve as the primary wage earners for their families to improve their education, skills and employment prospects. The club also provides local girls with tools to achieve their education and career goals through its Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls® program.
