Dorchester Commercial Building Fire Heron Blvd
On October 6, 2019 the Maryland State Fire Marshal investigated a fire at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge Maryland.
The fire was in a one story wood frame commercial building on the property. The fire was discovered by an employee a little after 6am. The Three Alarm fire took around an hour to control.
The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, careless discard of smoking materials in a mulch bed. The estimated loss is $200,000 for the structure and $20,000 contents.
