ST MICHAELS, MD – The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Md., recently welcomed Allison Henline of Youngstown, Ohio; Sydney Hergan of Bel Air, Md.; Kira Lyle of Columbia, S.C.; Anastacia Maurer of Rochester, Mich.; and Zoe Robertson of Crisfield, Md., as summer interns to the non-profit organization. Henline is serving as an education intern, Hergan as a communications intern, Maurer as an advancement intern, and Lyle and Robertson as curatorial interns.
CBMM’s internship program provides a 10-week learning experience for undergraduate and graduate students wishing to engage, observe, and receive guidance by professionals with similar career interests.
“Our internships provide exposure to the inner workings of a museum,” said CBMM President Kristen Greenaway. “The program combines hands-on experiences, workshops, projects, and an overview of the field as well as concentration in the student’s area of interest. And a feature I believe to be very important, is that our interns are paid, and we provide free housing.”

She holds bachelor’s degrees in integrated social studies education and history, with an Ohio state teaching license and a provisional educator license in the United Kingdom.
