QAC Senior Olympic Planning Committee

CENTREVILLE – The Queen Anne’s County Department of Community Services is expanding its partnerships with Fitness Rx and The Edge to host Queen Anne’s County Senior Olympics. The partners met for the first committee meeting and are working on a great line-up of events. The Senior Olympics will be for people age 55 and over. Types of individual or team events that may be offered are: Bocce Ball, Free Throw, 1 Mile Walk, Pickleball, Freestyle Swim, Football Throw and more. The tentative dates for the 2019 Olympics are September 30th through October 4th.

The planning committee would like to hear from you regarding what events you are most excited to participate in. Surveys may be picked-up at any Queen Anne’s County Senior Center, or by emailing asparks@qac.org. If you are a company wishing to sponsor future QAC Senior Olympics, an individual interested in participants in the 2019 Olympics, or someone who would like to volunteer at the events and wants to be added to our distribution list, please call 410-758-0848 or email to asparks@qac.org.
