Accidental Dwelling Fire Jackson Park Rd
After the Port Deposit area experienced severe thunderstorms on May 29, 2019, a passerby discovered a fire at a vacant single family resident of Jackson Park Road.
Water Witch Volunteer Fire Company was the primary responder. A total of 35 fire fighters responded to the call and quickly contained the fire to the attic of the home. Estimate damage to the structure is $25,000. The MD State Fire Marshal has reported that the Preliminary Cause was a Lightning strike.
