Vehicle Arson Leads to Multiple Arrests
CAROLINE COUNTY, MD – An extensive investigation into an early morning vehicle fire on December 26, 2018 has lead to criminal charges for three adults. The fire destroyed a 2008 Nissan Altima on Baker Road in Denton. The investigation revealed the three suspects, Kayona Glover (22), Paul Lovett (38, of Cambridge, MD) and Perry White (39, of Dover, DE), conspired together to intentionally set the vehicle on fire.
On April 8, 2019, Deputy State Fire Marshal’s located Ms. Kayona Glover in Ocean City, where she was taken into custody and charged with Second Degree Arson, Conspiracy to Commit Second Degree Arson, Malicious Burning in the First Degree, Malicious Destruction of Property in the First Degree and Obstructing with a Fire Marshal Investigation. She is being held without bond at the Caroline County Detention Center, and if convicted faces up to 51 years and/or $67,500 in fines.
On April 9, 2019, Cambridge Police Department assisted in the arrest of Mr. Paul Lovett. He is being charged with Second Degree Arson, Conspiracy to Commit Second Degree Arson, Malicious Burning in the First Degree and Malicious Destruction of Property in the First Degree. He is being held at the Dorchester County Detention Center, and if convicted faces up to 48 years and/or $67,500 in fines.
At this time, Deputy State Fire Marshal’s are requesting the assistance of the public in locating the third suspect, Mr. Perry White. He has been charged with Second Degree Arson, Conspiracy to Commit Second Degree Arson, Malicious Burning in the First Degree, Malicious Destruction of Property in the First Degree and Obstructing with a Fire Marshal Investigation. The Office of the State Fire Marshal believes Mr. White is located in Delaware.
