Maryland State Police Arrest Cecil County Man On Drug, Weapons Charges

(NORTH EAST, MD) – Maryland State Police have arrested and charged a Cecil County man on charges stemming from a drug distribution and weapons investigation.

The suspect, Jesse Hyman, 50, of North East, Maryland is charged with intent to distribute heroin/fentanyl mix and methamphetamine, two counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances, five counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances, possession of a firearm in a drug-trafficking crime, illegal possession of ammunition and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction. He’s being held without bond at the Cecil County Detention Center.

According to a preliminary investigation, members of the Maryland State Police Special Investigations Section served a search and seizure warrant Monday on Hyman’s residence as part their Cecil County drug distribution investigation into Hyman. He was arrested at the scene.

As a result of the search warrant, troopers recovered the following:

– Methamphetamine
– Heroin and fentanyl
– Prescription medications
– Crack cocaine
– Marijuana
– Raven Arms .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol and ammunition
– Cash

The Maryland State Police Gun Center was contacted and advised of the firearms recovery. Troopers learned that Hyman is prohibited from possessing firearms for numerous convictions.

This investigation was made possible in part due to funds provided by the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention (GOCCP), which supports the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (MCIN). GOCCP/MCIN will also provide funding to prosecute Hyman.
