“Shore” Opportunities in Kent County, MD

Photo: KC Shore OpportunitiesThe Kent County Commissioners are pleased to announce the release of an economic development video titled ‘Shore Opportunities in Kent County, MD’ to promote economic activity and positive engagement in our community on February 8, 2019. The video features local businesses in a variety of industries including manufacturing, agribusiness, retail, education, culinary, real estate, and the arts. Business and community leaders are featured in the video and each of them describes how living and working in Kent County has positively impacted their lives and the community.

Businesses and community groups featured in the video include Dixon Valve and Coupling, Molly’s Place, Kitty Knight, Crow Vineyard, Harbor View Farms, Massoni Gallery, Cross Street Realtors, Washington College, The Mainstay, Play it Again Sam’s, Robert Ortiz Studios, Hegland Glass, Rock Hall Main Street, Chestertown Main Street, Sultana Education Center, Kent County Public Schools, Kent County Arts Council, and the Kent County Learning Center.

Kent County is ‘OPEN for Business’. The business section of our website offers tools and resources for current and potential new businesses. Currently there are seven tax credits, three grants, four loans, and six programs identified to assist businesses. A commercial property database and mapping tools are available for businesses looking to grow or locate in Kent County. Our residents will find current job listings, a business directory, and information and support to start a business.
