Lady Trojans Wins over Visiting North Dorchester

Worton – The game between the Kent County Lady Trojans and visiting North Dorchester Eagles began on time, but if you arrived late and looked at the score you may have thought it was just beginning since with two and a half minutes the score was just 2-2. After a 3 point shot by North Dorchester’s Micha Brummel, Kent’s Mattie Cesarini tied it with a 3 and Kent took the lead when she hit a foul shot a few seconds later.

Even though Kent began the quarter slow they did score the last eight points of the quarter to lead at the end of the first, 10-5. With continue pressure during the second quarter and 7 points by both Cesarini and Sidney Usilton Kent led at the half 28-15.

In each of the third and fourth quarters Kent would out score North Dorchester in both to finish the game with a win at 54-25.

Mattie Cesarini would lead Kent’s scoring with 16 with Kelsey Dumpson scoring 15. North Dorchester’s Breisha Cephas would lead the scoring for the night with 19.
