New Feature – Photo of the Week

For several years I have posted a “Photo of the Week” on The Kent County Crier aka Local in Kent, MD.

So why not do one here as well. Hopefully during the course of the year the photos will be spread out across the Upper Shore.

This week’s photo comes from the High School Basketball game between Kent County and Queen Anne’s High Schools. Two schools which have had a huge rivalry since Kent County High opened in 1971.

The game came down to the final seconds. With 9 seconds left in the game and the score tied at 59 Kent had the ball coming off of a time out. Queen Anne’s tough defense cause a loose ball with Kent fouling the Queen Anne’s player. Queen Anne’s would make one of two Free Throws to win the game by a single point.
