Queen Anne’s County Board of Education Members will Take Oath of Office on December 5, 2018

Queen Anne’s Public Schools will host a Swearing-In Ceremony and Reception for new and returning members of the Board of Education, on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. The Ceremonial Oath of Office will take place at 4:30 p.m. at the Board of Education, 202 Chesterfield Avenue in Centreville, followed by the monthly Board Meeting at 5:30 p.m.

Incumbent Board Member (now representing District 2) Carrie O’Connor, a licensed social worker, and therapist at Bridges Behavioral Health in Centreville; newly-elected Member At-Large Tamera Harper, former Board Member (2012 – 2016), businesswoman, and owner of Kentmorr Restaurant on Kent Island; and newly-elected District 1 Board Member Michele Morrissette, a public health nurse with the QAC Health Department, will take the Oath of Office guided by Katherine Hager, QAC Deputy Clerk of Courts.

A reception will follow after the oath. Both the reception and ceremony are open to the public.
